Thanks for all the responses. She's my little inspiration. It was her 5th birthday, which was kind of a big deal to me for some reason, so I hired "cinderella" to come in and face paint, play games, make balloon animals and stuff like that. Thanks Zimmy and Purple Bear. I think her name means "Lovely Daughter" in Korean (any korean abw's wanna verify?). She is .25 korean, .25 puerto rican, .25 costa rican, and .25 caucasion, what a mix! lol.

She's a really sharp little girl, which I'm really proud of, cause I work with her a lot. What's funny is the ONLY thing that she constantly had trouble with is the number 13. I tried for a month to get her to remember it. She could count to 100, but always skips 13, and wouldn't recognize it on the flash cards.

So, I took out the number 13 flash card and told her, "This is Mr. 13, he'd like to be your friend. He is very sad when you forget him. He wanted me to ask you to please remember him." And sure enough, it worked! Lol. Now she'll say 11, 12, my friend mr. 13, 14 ... and she carried the card around in her purse for a couple of days. Ahh, kids are hilarious.

Just a tip for anyone having similar struggles.
