I have chosen to receive the Tool King Datafeed as a raw file. I've been given a url where I can go and retrieve the feed and everything works just fine. I was wondering how often this raw file will be updated? Also, on the Toolking.com website, they have a "site price" and "your price". The datafeed only contains one column with prices. Is it possible to add the other prices in there? My sites, as my name suggests, highlight the savings off of list price, so having that info in the feed is important to my integration. Thanks!

I also just noticed that there are only thumbnail images. Would be great to have the full size images as well.

Bestdeals.. right now we'll be updating the Tool King feed on our end once a week (Monday nights), unless some circumstance require more frequent updates.

Regarding price: we'll see if they can add sale price to the data. Right now they aren't supplying us with that...only retail price..

Same goes for the full-size images.. right now thumbs are all we have to work with. I'll let you know..

Thanks Gary. Please let us know what the tool king folks say about the additional info in the feed and if there is a time frame for the additional info. The price thing is holding me back at this point from integrating the feed in my site. I can get away with thumbnails for the time being.

Now can the hundreds of broken thumbnails be fixed? I'm ready to go with them (on Skaboodle at least) but I can't have my visitors seeing pages of broken images.

If it were just a few, I'd deal with it somehow. But there are literally hundreds. For instance, if I pull the "Measuring Tools" subcat, the first 57 products have no working thumbnails.

I went and looked on the ToolKing site and see that there just aren't images for some products. If he doesn't have images, it would be just as good if he can leave those fields blank in the feed, then people can always throw up a "No Image Available" image or something. That's easy to deal with with a quick check of that field.

Once he can get a handle on that I'll get it live on Skaboodle (it's ready) and I've also got an old tools domain I can bring back to life as well. The feed is good, save for the images thing.

The update I got from Brian is that their programmer is running an IF/Then on the feed images. If there is no image available then it won't be sent in the feed. If it doesn't cut out all of the broken images it should at least reduce them down considerably. Let me know if it's looking any better..
