Dear Affiliate Members -

My name is Kasey and I am excited to announce the launch of our new Affiliate Program from Urban Survival Tools (http://www.shareasale.com/shareasale.cfm?merchantID=9710) . Urban Survival Tools manufactures quality survival kits and emergency supplies. I would like to invite each of you to view our affiliate program offered through ShareaSale.

We believe that survival kits are an exceptional product for affiliates to offer. As our logo indicates, everybody needs a survival kit but nobody has one. If a shopper is given the opportunity to purchase a survival kit, they usually do. Survival Kits are not readily available in stores and therefore hard to find.

- Make extra income selling survival kits to everybody. We have a very broad customer appeal unlike other affiliate programs.
- Easy to track traffic and sales.

How do you handle phone orders for crediting affiliates with sales? Your site has a BIG 800 number.

Dear dollardaze -

This is a good question for me being a newbie to the affiliate arena. I spoke with my technical team a few weeks back about this and we are in the process of adding a phone order tracking system to the site. There is already a a coupon code/affiliate code on the web site that we use for fundraising programs and our internal affiliates. We will implement a system that takes the sas id and displays this near the phone number so customers must reference this number during checkout. This is our plan....

I hope this answers your questions. Please let me know

This looks pretty good.

I would hope they think to grab a change of clothes and some extra food. Is there room in the backpack or bucket to add other individualized, essential items of a person's choosing such as needed medicine or diapers and some baby food? If so that might be mentioned on the site.

What is an "internal affiliate"?

Dear SSanf

This is a good question. The one, two and three person backapacks and bucket kits do have enough room for additional supplies like cloths and other personal items. The four person kits are a little tight on space. We highly recommend that everyone suplement our kits with things like cloths and other personal items. You would be very suprised at how many people are not prepared at all.

Some one once said, I forgot who, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Thanks for the comment.

Dear UncleScooter,

We have several companies that resell our products as thier own. They do all ther work regarding the sell of the product and we drop ship thier products to thier customers. They have thier own web sites, ecommerce and call centers. We even customize our products to thier specifications. We call these our internal accounts/affiliates. We also have many other companies and individuals that resell our products for us. We have emergency planning specialists, trainers and other emergency professionals that resell our products as thier own. I hope this answered your question.

Cool.
It is good that you have a lot of different channels to sell your product in. Do you use ShopatHome as one of these partners?

Dear UncleScooter,

We currently do not have this particular partner signed up yet. I took a quick loot at the site and it does look like a good candidate. Any ideas?
