Well, 16 days later I decided to take some initiative of my own.

I just whacked 1143 products that didn't have images, should be all that don't.

And it only took me 3 and 1/2 hours.

MBB,

If you work with excel a bit more the "whacking" should online take a few minutes for the sort and about 30 second to delete. Toolking is not the only feed with this issue.

Looks like you have put a lot of work into Skaboodle (good work at that ;-)...where is the on site search?

I think Skaboodle is damn cool. Shawn, Brian mentioned they will be working through the image issues.. I'll make sure and bug him..

mrbshouse,

The thing is the image fields aren't empty. There's actually a real image URL, there are just no images that correlate with the URL. If they were empty then there would have been nothing to do, just a PHP check when I pull the field from the database and show a "no image" image or the real image.

So I went page by page and copied the "Buy URL"'s. There's where the time came in. :)

Gary,

It's cool. I told you I was just impatient. :p While I did "whack" the products last night, I decided to change the database queries to set that field to empty where "Buy URL" equaled what I had tracked down. I'll get it live tonight and work on that tools site under my old domain too.

Thanks for the comments on the site. There's still a long way to go, I just have more ideas than time. Site search is on the list, along with a separate shopping search.

MBB,

Do they all list the same url.com/brokenimage.jpg? I hate to throw traffic if there is no image, so i crunch the list before import and found that to work with some.

No, they all have their own unique, product ID-based image name.

That would have been nice, because again I could have handled it easily by running a delete from query on the database where ThumbURL = "url.com/brokenimage.jpg".

I looked for all the easy avenues first. :D
