INTERNET MARKETING SPECIALIST
M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Purpose:
The Internet Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the development, implementation and tracking of the company's online marketing strategies.

Reports to the Chief Marketing Officer
Primary Responsibilities (not limited to):
Email Marketing
Develop monthly email communication plans including revenue and performance projections
Oversee optimization of campaigns to maximize email deliverability, open rates, and drive sales
Create fully trackable email links
Work with design and merchandising teams to determine optimal consumer offers and creative treatment for all email and on-site promotions
Manage relationship with external email provider
Ensure that all email campaigns are developed and deployed on time, with the appropriate approvals and with the highest quality and superior customer experience
Develop and implement continuous testing of creative layout and offer variations
Plan and manage email segmentation strategy and contact plans to increase customer retention and frequency
Manage email list hygiene
Prepare weekly updates to senior management on email program progress
Identify new opportunities to grow email database with qualified email addresses
Continue to increase efficiency on email spend & productivity on email development process
Affiliate Marketing
Recruit new affiliate partners and enhance relationships with existing affiliates
Manage day-to-day relationship with affiliate network partner and recommend and implement program improvements
Weekly contact with the affiliates to provide feedback on performance and to present well thought-out plans to increase revenue to the affiliates
Develop strategies for monitoring existing affiliate compliance with program terms and conditions, as well as monitoring general brand positioning by affiliates
Coordinate the development of marketing and promotional materials with our graphics production team (banners, landing pages, emails, site content, etc)
Produce weekly and monthly performance analysis using internal data. Analyze reports, submit conclusions based on data
Validate and provide accounting with monthly invoices
Attend affiliate conferences
Additional Marketing Responsibilities
Develop new online relationships focusing on niche sites associated with wedding and baby
Assist in the coordination and implementation of vendor promotions
Track, measure, and analyze campaigns, site traffic patterns and online buying behavior to improve marketing performance and optimization
Work with CMO to ensure budget, revenue and ROS targets are met
Qualifications:
Education: BS/BA degree required
Job Skills:
The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy, adapt to frequent changes and posses the following skills:
1 - 2 years experience in internet marketing required
Excellent communication (both written and verbal), problem-solving, delegation, follow-up, and analytical skills
Self-starting with strong customer focus and eager to tackle challenging projects and assignments
Ability to plan and execute marketing strategies is essential
Knowledgeable of permission-based email marketing best practices, CAN-SPAM guidelines, and affiliate marketing
Ability to manage and work with external partners
Ability to Multi-task
Basic HTML programming skills
Must be able to meet project deadlines
Knowledge of web site analytical tools
Must be energetic, detail-oriented, and team-oriented
Computer Skills:
Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
