Discovery Communications, Inc., the leading global real-world media and entertainment company with an exciting array of TV networks such as Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and TLC, is seeking an E-Commerce Partnership Coordinator to join the team in our headquarters in Silver Spring, MD (Washington, DC metro area).
Position Summary:
In this opportunity on the cutting-edge of e-commerce marketing, you will be assisting the Affiliate Marketing Manager with all aspects of The Discovery Channel Store online affiliate program including general administrative tasks, recruiting new partners, communicating with existing partners, constructing HTML newsletters, and helping develop promotional strategy. You will also be asked to assist with maximizing revenue from other marketing partnerships including shopping comparison engines and Internet portals.
Responsibilities:
1) Manage day-to-day affiliate activities including approving new affiliates and answering the affiliate support email box.
2) Research and recruit new partners to join the affiliate program.
3) Assist the Affiliate Marketing Manager with developing a promotions and marketing strategy to be distributed throughout the affiliate channel.
4) Communicate with existing members of our program with the intent of increasing placement and growing revenue.
5) Assisting with maximizing performance from other e-commerce marketing partnerships including shopping comparison sites and internet portal relationships
6) Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* This position requires a Bachelor¿s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related fields.
* 2-3 years of e-commerce marketing experience required with experience in online affiliate marketing preferred.
* Strong computer skills with proficiency in basic programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Experience with Commission Junction or other affiliate management programs preferred.
* Basic HTML skills and experience strongly preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a team to accomplish goals and meet deadlines.
