Hey Everyone,

It's time to break out your sunglasses and fanny packs! Virgin Vacations has just launched on AffiliateFuture!

With a name like Virgin, they're obviously not your ordinary tour operator. In fact, Virgin Vacations follows the same philosophy set forth by their Chairman, Sir Richard Branson when he first started Virgin Atlantic Airways: "Give travelers more comfort, more amenities, and more entertainment at better value".

Virgin Vacations was established in 1994 to provide Virgin Atlantic customers with all-inclusive vacation packages to London and beyond. Today, they've expanded their reach as well as their product. They now offer an expanded travel menu that includes Europe, Asia, the South Pacific, and Central and South America. More recently, they've added South African vacations to the list, even an option to visit Sir Richard's private game reserve in Ulusaba.

Virgin Vacation is dedicated to delivering you the highest levels of service, best value, and the most competitive pricing out there.

They are offering 3% commission on all sales.

Those affiliates who can bring in a high volume of sales, please email inquiries@affiliatefuture.com for higher commission tiers.

If I have an international site, it appears that I have to sign up with 3 different branches to get all the programs offered. Or am I not understanding something?

Yup, that's correct. Our three networks run independently of each other. Although there might be some merchants that are on multiple networks, tracking and payment are done through each individual network.

Also, please note that the commissions you earn will be paid out by the network's respecitve currency. So for example, all commissions earned off the US network, you will receive in US Dollars. All commissions earned off our UK network, you will receive in British Pounds.

Travel Agents earn a minimum of 30% ...what's up with the 3% spiff?

Wow 30%!? I'm not sure if they earn necessarily that much. I don't even know if the airlines make that much! =)

When compared to other leading vacation/travel sites, Virgin Vacations commissions are actually quite high.

They've actually upgraded their commission to a tiered structure so you can earn up to 5%:

1-50 sales = 3%
51-100 sales = 4%
101+ sales = 5%

With the average total of each sale around $3,500, the average commission at 3% is at $105. If you reach 5%, that's $175.

Compared to the usual flat rate that most major travel sites give out, this is quite good!

P.S. - Keep your eye out for an amazing contest this month with great prizes! =)

Yeah, I don't think Anybody in the travel business makes 30%.
Too much overhead, too many resellers, too much excess inventory, etc.

If someone does, feel free to post here.

"Travel Agents earn a minimum of 30% ...'

B&M travel agents who do non-discounted, self-priced travel packages might, but I have never seen an affiliate program in travel products (hotels, tours, etc) that does.

Some of my individual hotels pay up to 15% for special situations, but mostly it's 5-8%, in my experience.

"When compared to other leading vacation/travel sites, Virgin Vacations commissions are actually quite high."

They might be "moderately advantageous" when compared to air tickets, but not to numerous other products.
