Oh so sweet!!! What a face! How old is your kitten?

My cat had 3 kittens a couple of months ago and they are the funniest little things. The girl is going to a neighbor and we are keeping 2 of them. They are so fun to watch play with each other.

He's about 8 weeks old now. I got him around 6 weeks. Him and 7 other brothers and sisters were abandoned in front of a friends office building. They were going to take them all to the humane society, so I decided to take this little guy.

He is one little ball of energy. The thing NEVER sleeps. lol. I love it. :)

We also have an orange-ish cat. She's incredible. She was the runt and now that she's 2 years old, she's still the size she was at around 6 months. He's adorable and I'm sure he's an :halo:

Has anyone else noticed that Marmie's (orange cats) are typically bigger than other cats??? Sometimes their just bigger boned... sometimes they just run fatter! I was thumbing through a photo album at my vet's office and asked why all the different Marmies were fat?! My vet said it's something genetic linked to the Marmies.

He's so cute.

Yea, he's lucky he's cute. That's the one reason I let him get away with waking me up at 5 AM every morning! :) I have yet to have a full nights sleep since I've got this guy. Every morning I can expect around 5 AM for a little paw to start batting at my face to wake me up. lol. :smash:

I come to this thread just to see this adorable kitty's face and get a smile but geeeze, if he was my kitty, I'd bop him on the head every time he woke me up before I was ready to be awake ... if you actually get up and FEED him at that hour, he'll have won and you'll be miserable. You need to cut that crap out NOW. LOL - Pretty soon he'll be sleeping all day but you can't let him get away with that kind of control. Embrace your ALPHA MALE self and get control of that little brat! LOL

If you don't want him waking you up you could leave out some dry food for him to munch on in the morning. I'm not sure how old he is but he looks like he's off the wet mushy stuff.

If that doesn't work... when he wakes you, blow in his face. Cats don't like that and he'll learn that waking you up is no fun.

:) I'll try that blowing tactic. Yea, he's eating small dry kitten food. I fill his food and water dish right before I hit the sac, so he has a good supply of food. Unfortunately, most days I leave for work around 6:30 AM and don't return home until around 8 or 9 PM, so all durning the day the little guy is sleeping with no one to play with. So as soon as I get home, all he wants to do is play. And if he does eventually fall asleep with me during the night, he doesnt sleep long. And will wake up and start wrestling with my hands/arms. I've been told he will grow out of this, so I'm not too worried. I gave my neighbor a key to my condo so that she can go over and play with Leroy (the kitten), while I'm away at work. Hoping that will help him not be so playful at night. :)

You really think he SLEEPS all day???

Well based on the freshly chewed/torn up suprise I get almost daily when I come home, I know he's up and about for a bit. ;)

But being nocturnal creatures, I do imagine with no one their to pester, he lounges around and sleeps for a good majority of the day. That, and eats and poops. :)

:(

I'm sad to report, Leroy has passed away. He had to be put down on sunday. :( He contracted the FPVirus and was unable to fight it. Developed a severe fever, suffered a mini stroke and was deteriorating rapidly. He was only 10 weeks old. :(

Awwww, Jonathan,

I'm so sorry. That's absolutely horrible. These precious animals become such a part of our families, don't they? Take care.
