I know it's weird, but since I have no kids this puppy became my little boy very quickly...so now I have to share, too.
Ernie at 6 months harnessed up and pulling a stroller containing our cat.
Ernie dressed up in a tee shirt and panties, taking a nap.
Finally, an out-of-season Merry Christmas to all of you!!!!

I'd call the stroller picture dog torture if it didn't make me LMAO.

Ernie is beautiful! Is he a Portuguese water dog?

Ernie is a bouvier des flandres, though he gets PWD all the time.
Here's a picture of his dad "ZZ Top," who just won national best in breed.
LOL dog torture!!!! Ernie used to be quite a puller, so we figured that if he was going to do it anyway we might as well let him be productive.

Gorgeous dogs! Ernie does look just like a PWD - even splays out to cool off like them. Do they have the same temperment as PWDs?

Bouvs are a herding/working breed traditionally used by cattle farmers in Belgium. They are "supposed" to be slightly aloof, exceptionally stubborn and can be challenging to train. The PWDs I've met have a bit less intense of a personality than the bouvs I've been around and they're also more outgoing as a breed, from what I understand.
Having said that, Ernie is very much the exception. He is absolutely unbelievable with other animals and children and does not have an aggressive bone in his body. He's friendly and very outgoing. We're still working on the stubborn part. The first 4 months of his life were doggy boot camp run by Sgt. Joe, so he is exceptionally well trained, although I find that he is CONSTANTLY pushing the envelope if I don't work with him at least 3-4 hours a week.
Ernie barks so infrequently that I make note of it. He barked once on or around April 1st, once in his sleep in mid-May, and he had a spat of barking last Monday while playing after training class.
Everything you wanted to know about bouvs but were afraid to ask!

Way cool! The stroller is awesome, lol. My cats would love it. Maybe. :) They are usually quite happy just sprawled on the couch.

I'm always telling my husband he treats our mini schnauzer too much like people. She's definately his little princess. But then I get caught singing her good night songs while we wait for Daddy to come tuck her in.....
They're so much easier to live with than real children - they hardly ever talk back.

I don't agree with that at all. My kids are great, and my dog can be a pain in the butt! LOL!
Joe... never mind. ;)

Well, he's sure a great looking dog ! Thanks for sharing the pictures. Our Abby loves to wear clothes, but her tee shirt is a Brett Favre #4 for Sunday afternoons in the recliner with Daddy.

Ooooh I love the doggie pictures lol:) Not sure Ernie appreciated the panties, though:) Was probably thinking to himself "What has he done to me? Doesn't he know I'm a guy dog and he's gone and put panities on me? Even worse yet....he's showed the whole world.....now what are all my guy friends gonna think? They'll never let me hear the end of this" lol :)
He really is cute:) OOoops Ernie... I meant to say....my he's a good looking macho dog:)

Ahhhhh yes....I definitely see the difference now. He is certainly looking quite macho there in that picture as opposed to the others :) He is ssoooo cute....makes you want to just hug him. Think his little furry paws are what gets to me:)
