I have found they do not track either and delivery is very unreliable.

It was like 3-4 weeks ago since the flowers were delivered.
I sent the order #, date order, etc to them / fatwallet and they are taking it up with 1-800 flowers

I find their tracking very reliable.

Did you use any other code or offer at checkout?

Eric Ewe

Yes. but that should not matter right.

That depends on where you got the code or the offer. Can you provide more details?

click though fatwallet. got the code from fatwallet which was posted by fatwallet under the merchant store.

= no commission

That should be ok then, if you got the code from fatwallet.

I had someone use a code on my site that I did not have listed. I don't know if they got it on a coupon site or a direct email from the merchant. I told my member that I could not give her credit because Flowers did not give me credit. She contacted them directly! I'm not even sure how. Still didn't get credit, but the member got a better answer than I did.

Kind of a nice boon for the merchant if the person got the coupon code off of a different affiliate site and then used my link. The merchant likely did not end up having to pay a commission to either affiliate. Not saying it is right or wrong...I know it the price I pay for having an incentive site. Just interesting that it was the same merchant that you are now having trouble with.

I order from 1 800 flowers through an affiliate link
At the end I enter my American Airlines FF number
I pay with my Visa card.

Me gets commish
Me gets 2 miles per 1 dollar spent for my FF
Me gets 20 points per 1 dollar spent on my visa rewards

"1-800-Flowers did not track via fatwallet"

I'm confused, Fatwallet should get the commission. So how would you know if it tracked or not.

i get a kick back

something like ebates.
they will pay each individual user

i have cashed back almost $30 from ebates :)

Well sometimes those are issues between ebates or fatwallet and the merchant, the tracking problem.

Or this issue is between you and them (fatwallet or ebates)

So don't know if this really qualifies as a test purchase. At least for the merchant. It's really more for purchases off your own link and then you can see if there is a problem with merchant tracking.

I have ordered from 800 flowers at least a dozen times in the last year and every order has tracked. I had one incident of flowers being shipped in poor condition but they corrected it after a phone call.

It is a mystery what must be on your computer ( one can never know) perhaps a parasite overwrote the cookie, creepy crawlies everywhere.

The folks on Tim's site are awesome and they will keep in touch with the merchant so you get credit if credit is due. :)

I doubt that they will dispute it with Tim.
Been on tim's site since 199x and he is a big player that nobody wants to mess with...

Note to helpingmoms.

In the scenario you described, the merchant paid the coupon affiliate.

I have documented this with many merchants. The shopper clicks on a link on my site, goes to a merchant, shops, goes to checkout, and then enters a coupon code they got somewhere else (which is why i asked eric where he got the code.) If the other site is an affiliate, and then they enter the code during the checkout process, the affiliate id attached to the coupon becomes the last referring affiliate, and gets the credit for the sale. In this scenario, it is similar to going to a store and not being able to use two coupons on one item.

If the code is available on the site where you are shopping (as was the case with Eric) the order should be credited.

When i work with merchants and looking for special offers, I prefer to get a coded link that carries the offer thru to the checkout, instead of a code, so the above situation can be avoided.
