Thanks Geno. I think they have good potential and the owner is great to work with. We have our work cut out building up the program and tools but that's one of the fun things :D

Hi Greg,

I have three questions:

1 - How many products are on the datafeed?
2 - How often is the datafeed updated?
3 - Can I see how the datafeed is formated before I join?

The only reason that I ask question # 3 is because, some datafeeds are not that standard, and I don't want to waste your time or mine with a datafeed that I might not be able to use with my Php scripts.

Sal, there are 2,529 products currently in the feed. The feed is updated twice each week. Yes, I'll be glad to show you the format. How do you want it? If you PM or email me your address I'll send you the zip file.

Email sent. I didn't see any way to attach a file so I sent you the first 10 lines of the feed to see if that helps.

Ok Greg,

I'm not going to comment on that first 10 lines of the feed! :nerd:

I'm going to join TotallyFurniture and then let you know.

Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure how it would come out and decided not to paste 2500+ lines into an email. Would love your feedback on it.

We're rolling now with 4 first sale bonuses being added today and more partners heading toward their first $200 bonus. Who will end up with the $1,860 in commish and bonuses?

Take a look at Totallyfurniture.com (http://www.totallyfurniture.com) and see how well their products can sell on your site.

All current bonuses have been added to our partner's accounts. If you think you should have a bonus and it's not there, please let me know.

Who will get the first $200 bonus?

Hi Greg,

Do you know if there is any future plan to modify the Totally Furniture datafeed?

The reason I ask is because after working on that datafeed for more than a day, and trying to come up with a good working furniture directory with different categories, I just decided to skip that datafeed. The way that that datafeed is formated, it would be too bad to be keeping updating it, even once a month.

For example:

There are too many ? on the description of many of the products, like:

? Black Finish ? Solid Hardwood Construction ? Raised Panel Front and Sides ? Large Levelers for extra stability ? Heavy Duty locking rubber casters ? Brushed Steel Foot Rails ? Locking Liquor Cabinet ? Drawer with Stemware Insert ? 2 Storage Drawers ? Size: 60"W x 23"D x 40"High ? Assembly required Matching Bar Stool sold separately, see details below.</b/>

Also, if I try to use the Custom1 for categories, some titles are too long, or have other characters in there like:

26 inch Majestic Swivel Bar Stool in Bronze - Pastel Bar Stool - MJ219-BF-26

Antique Cherry Vegas Gaming Bar Cabinet w/Chips & Dice - Powell Furniture - 961-475

Audio, Video, Entertainment

If I try to use the Custom2 for categories, some titles are too long, or have other characters in there like:

Ambiance Office Collection in Blond Maple by Quebeko

Audio Furniture - Stands, Racks, Cabinets

Barrier Reef Queen Size Bed in Brown - Powell Furniture - 659-053

Wilmington Cherry Cocktail Game Table, 4 Benches, A Hydraulic Lift - Powell Furniture - 519-573

There is also some ? on the Name field:
?L" Workcenter with Digital DockT - O'Sullivan Office Furniture - 11042

I went to the Totally Furniture Store, and I like the way they have the site design, and the way they have their categories set up, also the way they show the products catalog, but I don't thing that they're using the same feed that is on SAS, because I didn't see any of those ? in there nor any of those long category names.

Oh, I almost forgot to comment on the Description field.

On the Description field there are a lot of products descriptions that start with:

For our complete Bombe Chest Collection please click here: Bombe Chest 804228 Features: Hand painted with detailed English Garden floral ........

This is the first datafeed that I have encounter that have a Title and a Click Here on the Description field, and next to the actual description of the product, but that would not be a problem if there were a real clickable affiliate link in there, but since there is no link of any kind on the Description field on the datafeed we get from SAS, I don't see the need to have that line in there.

Greg, I am sorry if you think that I am bashing the Totally Furniture program with this post because I am not.

I took the time to make this post just to let you know what I have found bad on their datafeed, and while it would be easy for anyone to just go to SAS Make a Page and get those pre-made pages on any site, and don't say anything about the datafeed, I think it would be better for Totally Furniture to know about those things I mentioned above.

But on the mean time, I will just get by with their links and banners only, for the time being, because I won't spend any more time traying to rig that feed now, and then againg on a couple of days.

Sal.

Sal, yes we're working on the feed now. They have a programmer who manages their database with Yahoo and we are cleaning things up.

There is a strange way Yahoo organizes their sections and subsections and that is one of our main issues right now. I'll let you know when we have something ready for prime time.
