The Associate Marketing Manager for Affiliate Marketing is a critical member of the online marketing team that is responsible for driving traffic and sales to Walmart.com. They will own a significant portion of the affiliate base and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow the sales of these affiliates in order to meet overall program goals. In addition, the AMM will develop the affiliate newsletter strategy and work with LinkShare to execute on this strategy. This individual will be critical to meeting our traffic, sales and ROI goals for this year.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Strategic Development (30%)
• Define strategies to grow sales from specific segments of our affiliate base
• Responsible for hitting sales and budget goals for these program segments
• Own and manage affiliate newsletter development process
• Provide input into the annual plan
2. Execution and Optimization (50%)
• Execute on strategies to grow sales from specific segments of our affiliate base
• Work with the Category Marketing Team and LinkShare to execute the affiliate newsletter strategy
• Analyze impact of programs and optimize for improved performance
• Ensures consistent messaging and communication at all affiliate touch points
• Create monthly traffic and sales forecast
3. Other (20%)
• Build relationships with key affiliates through frequent phone calls and attending industry conferences


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Comfortable working with numbers and metrics
• Strong attention to detail
• Online marketing expertise
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Flexible and responsive; able to perform in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment

2) Experience:
• 2 to 4 years of work experience
• 2+ years of online marketing experience
• Experience with affiliate marketing highly desired

3) Minimum educational level:
• 4-year Bachelors degree required

• Be sweet and show love to affiliates by getting the Linkshare categories and product links straightened out, and get some more granular categories and subcategories in the feed, not only for the sake of their sanity and their wrists, but also to assist in facilitating keyword granularity for their SEO efforts.
