The uhaul is the one I drove from San Mateo to here last night, dudes in San Mateo charged a mint to load it and thanks to Joe, he had friends that unloaded it. They just now finished and had pizza. Nice way to start out in a new place. New friends, pizza and now I'm on the patio typing this overlooking the strip....

The uhaul goes back tomorrow and that makes this the easiest, faster move ever.... :) When it's the right place and time... things just work out....

The alligator head is from my airboat trip in Orlando, it has a nice meaning for me... I have been meaning to photograph it, and having it surveying the empty house just seemed cool :) He rode with me on the dash last night... doesn't it look like he's smiling? (no, I'm not REALLY crazy.... honest....)

It has been a LOOOOOOOOOONG day after a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG week and I am soooooooo glad to be "home". I haven't felt like I've been "home" in a very, very long time (like since before 9/11). Apartments, trailers, more apartments, just didn't feel right, locations didn't feel right. This feels right... and for now that's enough.

Today a friend said "what does loxly do for a living? she PACKS!" Here's hoping I don't have to or want to pack again for a pretty long time...

lol, yeah, the last occupant didn't do a good job keeping the grass green.... the landscaper will be in charge of that and the watering is regulated, so it will get green eventually... I'm amazed there is grass at all!!!! :)

I actually do plan to unpack here... :) But my plans seem to change rather quickly sometimes... it was just a short 3 weeks ago that I sent someone an email that said "I don't think I will be back in Vegas until January..."
