Hi All

Alex was 4 this past Saturday, will load up a few more pics later but this one is my favourite, his little face was filled with awe when the restaurant had the "Happy Birthday" music playing, with staff and family all singing and his cake rolled up bathed in candles... I thought he was going to burst into tears, he was so chuffed to have cake full of candles all too himself :D

Aawwww So sweet. Great photo, these are the times he'll remember.

My little guy turns 4 in January...Fun age I keep seeing toys I want to get him....but I have to resist...boys have such cool toys. Sometimes I wonder who I'm buying the toys for...

When you guys sing Happy Birthday over there do you add the Cha, cha, cha.?? I've yet to figure it out but all the little people I know add it after each line of the song. Celebrated my great nephew Justin's 5th birthday Saturday, too. His sister is a female Alex (Alexis) and got another niece Alex (Alexandra) lol

That's so funny, my daughter who's in kindergarten has the happy birthday song this week as part of their poem/homework thingy and told me about a classmate that adds cha cha cha to his happy birthday song and she thought it was funny cuz "that's not the way the song goes you know"...

I'll have to quiz her more about it this afternoon when she comes home.

Must be a new trend.

oooh goody:) I might be about to find out. lol:) I first thought maybe it had to do with the Purina cat chow commercial where the cat was dancing to it but I don't think any of em are old enough to remember that one. They always call me on my birthday and sing to me and yeap cha, cha, cha's in there. lol Have to admit...it does sound cute when they sing it. lol :) Just can't figure out why they're doin it. lol :)

Awesomely happy this weekend, Alex has started to swim unaided, though he has yet to learn to stop for breath while doing it! :D

So he tends to arrive at his target gasping for air :D

Also snapped a rare humming bird moth in my Mum's garden, thought it was a humming bird at first but it wasn't it's a moth!! :)

:approval: That's awesome! I sent my daughter to YMCA preschool and swimming was part of their curriculum.

I was so proud watching her really try hard and achieving her goals. She is not a gregarious kid so swimming in a big pool was intimidating for her. Unfortunately she is in fulltime kindergarten now and we aren't dedicated enough to find the time to go to a pool and swim. Maybe this summer :)
