My girlfriend took me on a weekend cruise to the Bahamas last week and we had a blast (it was my first cruise). I had the opportunity to snap some interesting pics that I'd thought I'd share. Enjoy!

Awwww! You guys look very happy.

Hubby and I went to the Bahamas on our honeymoon. Loved Nassau, hated the cruise.

Nice snaps!

Thanks! She's a lot of fun and definitely the "better half" in the relationship. :)

What made you hate the cruise? Which cruise line did you take?

Jon, I think it was Royal Caribbean. The first problem was we caught some really bad weather which meant we couldn't be tendered to a private island for recreational fun. Stuck on board that day, with the wind howling so fiercely that you couldn't open the doors to the outside decks. Half the paying customers were in their rooms being seasick. (Not us thank goodness!) And we're not drinkers, gamblers or gluttons *and* the entertainment was not very entertaining. Nassau was the high point of the trip. I would have loved to stay there a few days.

If we ever go on a cruise again it will be the Alaskan shore cruise or one of those barefoot schooner cruises. I love sailing.

Funny, the same thing happened to us. Weather was too bad to tender in so we had a "sea day". However, we were able to skirt the storms and layout by the pool, so it wasn't too bad.

We are now talking about an Alaskan cruise. It sounds like so much fun and a great opportunity to take pictures!

Ahhh, the Bahamas... every night when my head hits the pillow I think about where I'm going on vacation after the holidays... Q1 2007. The Bahamas sounds great! I've narrowed it down to the following. Beach, warm weather, clear ocean water... the kind of ocean water where you can see your feet when waist deep.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh... nice. Sounds like you had a happy birthday!
