Hi everybody,
We just joined the SaS network and are looking for people to help us develop our affiliate program.
We are able to pay the right person a base rate plus percentage, but would prefer to pay based more on percentage of sales rather than a flat rate.
I don't really have much experience in working with affiliate managers, so treat me like a newbie. I've run a few programs in my time, but most of my efforts focus on other marketing activities (SEO/PPC).
If any of you are interested, please email me (chris@mediadelta.com) and let me know what you can do for Over-Supply.com. I'd appreciate if you would include how you would like to be compensated if we were to hire you.
This is a work-from-home job.
I look forward to hearing from you all :)

You should get some quality responses shortly. I just wanted to welcome you to ABW.
I like seeing more locals on here. Gives me someone to cry with when the nucks do what they did last night. ;) :)

The site looks new with no traffic. Are you trying to establish a brand? What is your unique selling proposition to a visitor?? What reason would an affiliate have to put energy into promoting your site?

Thanks to everybody that has responded so far. We're still looking for an affiliate manager if anybody is still interested in applying.
Chuck - yes the site is very new. We only just recently opened it as we've spent the past several months dealing with our suppliers in the US. We had originally planned to launch the site almost 6 months ago, but there were alot of logistics issues that got in the way.
Are we trying to establish a brand? Definately. There aren't that many stores out there that work the way we do. In fact, I can only recall a few of them (Winners being the biggest one, they take closeout/liquidated household items/clothing and sell it at discounted prices). What exactly the Over-Supply.com brand will entail is not set in stone yet. We want to offer a large selection of products (which we have), but the exact message has yet to be decided.
Right now we're in what we would consider a "soft-launch" situation. The site is up, the products are ready, and we are looking for great affiliates to work with us. Refining how the business works, it's marketing messages, etc, is all on the board for us to figure out at the beginning of the new year. Right now our main focus is to start generating some sales and developing relationships with affiliates since they can be very powerful business partners.
When we first came up with the idea for this site we all agreed it would be focused around affiliates. That's why we are having monthly promotions, such as our BestBuy Gift Card promotion that is running right now. Once things are moving, we have way bigger offers that we want to give to affiliates (i.e. trips to Hawaii, big screen TV's, etc).
As for why an AM or an affiliate should work with us, I can give you a few reasons:
1 - We are affiliate-focused. We are not one of those companies that will just ignore affiliates. If there is something our affiliates want, we'll do our best to get it. Whether this is nice creatives, product feeds, promotions, coupons, or anything else we will do what we can.
2 - We are a small company. We are not some massive corporation that takes 6 weeks to make decisions. Staying small lets us be very dynamic and able to adapt very quickly.
I hope this answers your questions.
Cheers :)
-Chris
