Optional information tracking is a very useful tool for publishers tracking revenue by specific criteria. An excellent example would be if you were running a search engine marketing campaign and wanted to figure out which search engine terms were creating the most revenue for you. In Market Leverage it is very easy to setup optional information tracking you can very easily take any link you receive from Market Leverage and append your criteria behind the opt string.
So for examples sake we will use this link:
http://affiliatebuys.com/adscript.php?affid=CD1&ban=10098&dep=0&land=0&opt=&pool=0&camp=1887
If your search term was diet then you would append it to the link like so:
http://affiliatebuys.com/adscript.php?affid=CD1&ban=10098&dep=0&land=0&opt=diet&pool=0&camp=1887
So if a user clicked on your ad and went through this link Market Leverage would track your transaction with the optional information "diet". To access this information Login to your account and go to the "Your Stats" Link.
Then click on the "Download Optional Info" Button, this should open a CSV file containing the optional information, campaign name, and commission earned for that optional information string.
