We're thrilled to announce that we have entered SAS's affiliate program just yesterday!

Our business is a little different and I want to take a few moments to explain it to you. We started off creating personalized products - you send in a picture, we put it on a item. That was VERY slow going at first, so we decided to start making dog license plate frames. Now, we have our first boutique, and it's aimed primarily at dog lovers.

We have several dog items such as trailer hitch covers, shirts, etc with plans to expand both our item offerings, breeds and species! We can customize to reflect any saying or breed.

The initial banner ads are generic dog items, but we've got a couple of breed specific text links. There's a great dane banner ad in green - we'd appreciate any feedback on colors!

Coming soon, we will have cat, small mammals, and equinine related items. The design is set up so that each category will be like a boutique - in other words, you won't see cat items while you are in the dog boutique.

While our main site is geared towards the creation of one's own items with a picture, our webmaster has not yet gotten to that redesign yet. It's next on the list.

We use top quality merchandise, and put effort into our work. Nearly everything is made to order. We do foresee a price increase in the next few months. We've also been a supplier to other places on the web for our license plate frames.

(1) You didn't mention your site's URL, which is http://www.AdLibPromo.com (searching for "AdLib" in the SAS interface does bring up your info). You should probably make it a habit to use the "full" name (AdLibPromo) instead of just AdLib, so people don't go looking in the wrong place.

(2) Your product-detail page images of the license-plate frames seem fuzzy -- why not show a larger image size?

(3) Will you offer a datafeed? It appears that you have many hundreds, perhaps many thousands, of breed-specific license-plate frames.

The product detail images are sized 350*350, I think, based on the instruction of our webmaster. Is this not appropriate?

Datafeed - yes, soon. I'm not sure if our webmaster intalled the module as of yet. He is in high demand for MIVA software, so I plead for his time. That's next on his list. I will post once that is ready.

The image size for the license-plate frames is 277x150. Perhaps increasing the width to 350 would be enough. It may also be an issue of original image size and quality; maybe a larger image would just look fuzzier.

I think the preferred alternative is to offer three image sizes (thumbnail, medium, and large) so that if someone clicks on the medium image, the large version is loaded into a separate preview window.

All,

It was brought to my attention by a wonderful affiliate that the feed wasn't pointing to my store properly.

If you add &Category_Code=001 after each product URL, you will see the Dog Boutique set up which allows customers easy access to other breeds, instead of the plain store set up.

I have emailed a new feed to SAS, but it may take several days to be uploaded.

We have 2 new product lines added.

Over 30 breeds have luggage tags sets available in a eye-catching 'Homeland Security' style. The backs come with standard information lines, but can be personalized with your customer's information for only $1 more per set.

We develop our own copyrighted designs, and make each item to order.

In addition, we have added embroidered denim shirts. Currently, we have a Talk to the Paw style in both mens and ladies sizes, with a choice of colors and sleeve length (long and short). There is also a Dog Mom shirt with a heart and pawprints.

The initial sale is for black matte metal license plate frames at $9.75- a variety of wordings, ANY BREED WORDING. Our default banner will be for FREE SHIPPING OVER $75. In September, we will be having sweatshirts in 50-50 black or navy with a variety of sayings, ANY BREED, with a multitude of breed silhouettes available.

Here are the first 3 notes I included in our newsletter that I just sent out:


1. If a dog breed exists, we will have it. You may see many exotic breeds that have no items. As of last week, we have at least one item created for each breed. Next week, we will be uploading these items. And, ALL items will have their choices (colors, sizes, etc) turned on.

2. The new site will be primarily dogs items to start. But when we turn on the new site, we will have at least one item per cat breed.

3. Categories are being added with the overall DOG category being broken down into several categories. Currently, the dog category code is 000. We're upgrading to SQL Server, which doesn't like this value. The category will change to DOG instead and will still have items in it. But, we're breaking things down so that items that deal with Agility, Schutzhund, etc will have their own categories.

Plus, we will be adding more embroidery items, many of which will be customizable. 98% of our items are created in house, so we never run out of stock.

Unfortunately, the URLs will all be changing. We will have both sites live for about 60 days in order to give time to affiliates to make the changes on their end.

Yes - I've noticed that too. I am trying to work out a schedule for 2008 for all that we want to do: birds, rodents, and down to unique specialties... e.g. team penning.

My sister has a Maine Coon. I'm on the board of a Bengal Cat Rescue, so this is all near and dear to my heart. I've spent time researching digitized images for embroidery for bengals, and I am lucky to be able to get knowledgeable feedback. It looks like most bengal images out there are inaccurate (too tabby-ish) and there's one that "everyone" uses.

So, creating some new images in the cat world is something I really am looking forward to doing!
