I did my taxes with Taxbrain this year and it didn't track. I used them a couple years ago and it didn't track that time either. The only reason I started using them is TurboTax had some sort of bug that wouldn't allow me to complete my taxes properly before.

After how they posted here, why any affiliate would promote them is beyond me. Making fun of webmasters for having to deal with forum spammers like them...
To quote their rep:
-- I didn't realize that you're an aspiring webmaster with forums too. It must be hard work...long nights, time away from the family and probably really hard to get away from it all. It's quite a privilege to meet your acquaintance and I wish you all the success in the world. When I get some time, I'm going to fire up a forum somewhere and see if I can even come close to an ABW -- this is a gem!
Really people. Don't promote these scumbags. That they don't pay should be no surprise.

Maybe the guy who stole their Nascar car stole your sale?

I emailed TaxBrain about this and they just gave me the run-around. They did not apologize and did not credit me for the sale. I'd stay away from them.

Just because it was the season I jumped on all the tax sites in January. I got this from Taxbrain:
Reminder: This is the easiest $20 you will ever make!!
TaxBrain.com is always looking to shift its affiliate program into top gear, so we thought we’d ask the most important people in our program what we could do to improve. Please click the link below and fill out the short survey. If you fill out the complete survey we will bonus you $20 for your time.
Horseshit. I filled out the survey, never saw the $20. In fact, I think I'll complain to CJ and the BBB just for wasting my time.

It's going to be interesting to see what they do with your info. I wonder if they sell, submit, etc. Let us know if anything strange happens.

Hi Scott,
I don't recall seeing a single email from any Pub asking about a sale that did not track. Did you send the email directly to me, or through the CJ interface?
I look forward to your reply,

Mack,
All bonuses for the survey were paid prior to the 10th so that we could make the CJ check run for this month. We had a number of surveys that were submitted without a valid PID (in fact quite a few Pubs had no idea what it was), so these folks have yet to be paid until we confirm their identity. Send me your PID and I'll be happy to check it out for you.
Regards,
Todd Taylor

It would be a serious crime and, Senior Management is so concerned about the privacy of your data, that employees at Petz Enterprises, are very carefully scrutinized before hire.
Full-time Employees have a tendency to stay for awhile -- we regularly celebrate 5, 10 and recently a 20 years of service award was given (in classic gold-watch fashion).
24 Hr armed security is obvious around here and positive ID technology secures access to our computing center. Being an ex-IT/IS guy we look to have pretty darn good electronic defenses too.
Our Customer Service is all in-house and nothing about the application is outsourced.
We can't download and install software to our machines, bring in outside electronic equipment, use Wi-Fi or VPN, have writable CD drives and the list goes on and on.
It's hard to work in Marketing around here.

Todd,
Tracie was the person who responded to my email. I believe I sent it to affiliates@taxbrain.com. She just got back to me and said she would credit me for the sale.
Thank you,
- Scott

I met Todd about 3 years ago, and all I can say is if there's ever a problem - go to Todd and it will be addressed.
I too didn't get the $20 - I thought the number at the top of the CJ login page was my PID - which it's not.
I sent an email, and to be honest, wasn't expecting a response, as the address was something like programmer at cj dot com
But, 2 days later I got:
Hi B xxxxxxxxxxx,
In order for you to receive the $20 Bonus from TaxBrain, I need your Commission Junction Email address or your account number. I can’t find your account with the email address that you have provided here. Please forward this information as soon as possible in order to receive your payout. Thank you.

His email addy is definately a CJ email.
It's too late now Todd, but for next time: Equifax just moved from BeFree to CJ and sent us an email about manually crediting old BeFree sales, but they need out CJ PID. Their email included instructions on how to find our PID.
