Hi Everyone

I hope your all having a good week

Wanted to just get some more forum opinion

Back in the UK we communicate with our network by a variety of channels :

Phone
Text
Email
RSS
IM
Even snail mail now and again

I was wondering what the general opinion was for ABW'rs on how you like to receive communication from your network partners

I use just about all of the above but know that some affiliates in our network hate to be phoned so once known I avoid this of course - I'm thinking of having options for contact in the management area so people can choose the best way for them.

As always all opinions and feedback gratefully received.

Thanks

Mal

Thanks for the reply mate ill remember that one for the future :-)

I have left it open to multiple choices so we can get a good average of the most preferred options.

Thanks

Mal

I prefer the steaks to be delivered via UPS. Oh, wait. That wasn't the question.

It really depends on what is being communicated. For most stuff, I prefer email/newsletters. IM or Phone is fine for more important stuff.

E-mail

I get phone calls from folks who want me to look at my computer screen while they talk :smash: ................Usually when this happens, I am driving :warning: or in a conference for some other part of my business. :speechles

My preference is for E-mail

Email works for me, but leaving me a note on IM will get my attention sometimes, too. I hardly use the phone except for picking up the occasional message.

I love text messages too EXCEPT I only turn my cell on when I'm away from the computer, so texting me only works when we're out and about.

I prefer messages stuffed into a can of Red Bull, but phone calls and email are fine too. :cheerful:

Hey Mal, where will you be locating your US HQ? I don't mind receiving phone calls but I live on the east coast and the west coast AMs always seem to phone during dinner hour (or as I'm preparing dinner).

I really do prefer emails. However if I receive a personalized email asking for a telephone call I'm usually happy to oblige.

E-mail.

If it's something we need to chat about or look at together, I like Skype.

email.

I also like the cell phone if the person communicating is communicating something worth my time.

I prefer the phone call if it is during business hours. I'll probably delete it if it is from a network and I don't recognize it in my inbox.

From merchants, email as long as it is not a newsletter which is just the regular one.

From any of our affiliates, contact me by any means you would like, well accept a flaming bag of dog poo on my doorstep with a note hehehehe.

I was once an affiliate for a company whose AM wanted to talk to me almost weekly. It got to the point where I wanted to scream, "Here's the only thing we need to talk about. I make you money. You pay me money. It's not that complicated!"

I'm not antiphone, and I am more than willing to set aside time to talk to someone on the phone (I even have a conference call set for this evening), but general communication should be left for me to get to when I have time. I echo the sentiment that an email requesting a call is fine, but make sure the nature of the conversation necessitates a phone call. My time is valuable, and I prefer to be able to decide what I do at any given moment to maximize my (and my merchants') profits.
