David,
Those are general requirements of most any affiliate manager. What you are not providing is the nature of the business and contact information, so you may not get much of a response here without it.

It might also be helpful to say whether the job can be done online from anywhere, or if it requires a physical presence at some presently unspecified location.

Sorry for being vague guys. I was trying to make sure that I did not spam the forum or offend any of the senior members.
The opportunity is work at home/remotely.
The business is a linking/search engine popularity service provider.
I can give the URL if that is ok.
Just let me know.
Thanks for the feedback.

David,
You are smart to be careful, but as long as you are not promoting your program here at ABW (without a paid announcement), you are probably okay to list the name of the company and provide an email and phone number where people can contact you.
It's a tough call as you have been seen here at ABW posting dozens of short, one line messages over the last few days and your intentions are unclear to the moderation staff at this point.

I understand the cautious approach and I appreciate it. I feel much safer about being a part of this forum because of it.
Sorry for some of the shorter posts. I just did not have much else to say on the subjects like welcoming someone.
Since it is ok to anounce my company name I will.
You can find me easily in google by inputing LinkAcquire. My site is the first result LinkAcquire | One Way Link | One Way Article Links. You can also contact me via email for the time being at david @ linkacquire . com and as I move closer to deciding to work closer with a person or persons, I will provide a phone number.
I will be using the paid announcement and some advertising features of this board in the not too distant future. I know just by talking with senior members like you that the heart of this community is probably seriuosly connected.
Thank you for your help and I hope that I can be of use to the community as I grow within it.
Sincerly,

Dave, that's a tough sell. I launched a program for your competitor and it was difficult to find affiliates that would take it. Have you done your research and do you have a unique selling proposition that your affiliates can use?

In addition to being a tough product, the site is in need of some revamping as well.

Yes our research showed that people were buying just text links to promote their sites. Unfortunately this process was less than effective, so we decided to provide the service through a process of building content that supported the links. We have built a large network of sites over the past year 94k+ and can place links within targeted content very easily. We also distribute unique content with links to all of the major directories and article repositories. The product/service seems to work best for the webmaster/seo type groups but I have seen startups use the services too. Without affiliates, we net around 10k per month in sales already.
The unique selling proposition is our results.
Be #1 in Google. Also our service is top notch and we help our customers with other types of site questions as well at no charge. We also make it well known that these links are not rentals they are yours forever.
I have had a few affiliates in the past that were successful and I paid them well. My membership site launch paid $100 per sale with $25 re-occuring every month. My top earner on that launch earned 30k with $7500 re-occuring. He is still involved but I would like to see this type of result on a grand scale.
Since you have experience with this niche, do you have any suggestions?
Thanks,
David

Loxly,
I would love to hear any suggestions you have for revamping this site and I am curious to know what type of revamping you think would make the site better or more effective and why.
Thank you for your comments.

From your own Buy Links page:
Matt Cutts of Google as stated in his blog that “The best links are not paid" ....also “Don’t participate in link schemes designed to increase your site’s ranking or PageRank" ... Google has also made statements that have alluded to the penalization of websites and webmasters for both buying and selling links to their website.
'Hard sale' is an understatement and design wise - a redesign isn't needed a complete new GUI is and the abundant leakage is completely unacceptable.
PS. A spell check wouldn't hurt either (penalization [above] was spelled wrong).

David,
You need to decide if you are going to monetize your site with your own affiliate links and paid ads or if you want to have affiliates send you traffic. No good affiliate will send you traffic when your site is full of your own advertsing efforts.
I looked at your site and I see your list of topics, a paragraph on that topic then a form to have the visitor fill out to submit their article and other information. Does this mean that on the PPC page for instance, you are looking for people to submit articles on PPC? I saw several topics but what you are seeking from the customer is unclear.

Haiko,
Thanks for the heads up on the spelling error. Please clarify abundant leakage. Do you mean PR Leakage?

Leakage = your affiliate links to other merchants on the site.
Just read what Uncle Scooter said.

I completely agree with you. Another person asked about those ads too. I have never made any money with them. I would take them down without any problem. I just thought they were good products so I thought that offering them to my clients would be a good way of making a few extra bucks.

Yes thate is correct I am looking for people to submit content based on those specific kewords. This was an effort to build more relevant content on the site for some of the more popular keyword phrases in order to get more natureal SE traffic. I agree that it could be more clear and probably needs to be seriously reconsidered.
Thanks for your help and tips.
