Why is the Coupon Partner program separate from the Affiliate program?

Why is the Coupon Partner program separate from the Affiliate program?

Rhia,

You're referring to our in-house program, which is operated separately from our program on Share A Sale. The Coupon Partner program is specifically for our discounted promotions. The commissions for this program are 8%, although the conversion rate tends to be higher.

Dana.

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to announce that we've uploaded our product datafeed to Share a Sale. While we welcome requests for FTP access, please do not apply for access to the datafeed until you are ready to work with it.

Just a reminder that the Quickstart Bonus is still in effect through May 30th. Until then, we are paying an extra 3% bonus on each sale - which equates to commissions of 15% up to 18% based on performance. So don't delay to sign-up, get those links live, and start collecting those monthly checks!

As always, please don't hesitate to contact me at any time with questions, comments, or suggestions as to how we can make the Birthday in a Box Affiliate program even better.

Best!

Hi Dana,

I have a serious problem with almost every BIAB sale coming through SAS being reversed. This is very detrimental to your program and to the good will of affiliates. You had a good program, it's now on the endangered list. Trust is a major factor here and I no longer trust your program to correctly track and credit my sales. I know I'm not the only one having this problem.

As you told me on the last reversal, it's because cookies are being crossed with your in-house program. I don't know what you can do about it but something needs to be done. At that time, I asked what I could do to avoid reversals but did not receive a reply from you. I would love to know how I can avoid this happening in the future other than not promoting your program anymore.

Rexanne, why is this YOUR problem. To me it would seem that if a merchant can't properly manage their program it should cost them money, not you.

Rexanne,

I apologize that you did not receive the email response that was sent to you on May 22, 2007.

To reiterate, we currently have two affiliate programs, one through Share a Sale and our independent program. We introduced Share A Sale as an alternative to our existing program for those affiliates who prefer to work through a network program.

We adhere to a consistent policy across both programs in which the last affiliate to refer the customer is the affiliate to which the sale is credited. As we have many highly-ranked affiliates, there is bound to be a degree of overlap. In your case, it appears that 2 of your 9 “Share a Sale” sales were last referred by another affiliate.

We make every effort to address these sorts of issues in a timely manner. In order to avoid further confusion, our IT team has been working to resolve the issue with Share A Sale’s tech team so that you will only see those sales which you last referred credited to your account. As of today, you should no longer see sales which may ultimately be attributed to another affiliate.

We strongly value the reputation of our company and our relationships with our affiliate partners and are committed to doing whatever is necessary to protect them.

Thank you for bringing this concern to my attention, and I invite you to contact me again if you have any other issues or comments on how we can improve our program.

Dana.
