Hi Chuck,

If you know anyone in the area that 'fits the bill' for the job [so to speak] I'd really appreciate it if you could send them the details and ask them to get in contact with either myself or Chris.

Take care :).

Wow - deja-vu. Ellen and I bought our first "real" house in Broomfield in 1975. I served on the planning and zoning commission from 75 - 76 and then as an elected city coucilman in Broomfield from 1976 - 1981. Broomfield is still one of my favorite places down the hill and still have many friends there. Several years back they finally broke away from the three counties in which the city was split and became their own county.

Good luck in the search for an aff manager. Hope whoever it is enjoys working with the folks in Broomfield.

Thanks for the message. Broomfield certainly looks like a nice place! I had a relative who lived in Denver but I never made it out there. Colorado looks a beautful state. Definitely fits Gaiam being located there.

Broomfield is a booming suburb, north of Denver and East of Boulder. Close enough to the airport and all cultural and sporting events in Denver. It is also close the event center outside of Loveland where a lot of additional concerts and sports teams are located. You will be looking up at the Rockies eastern edge, close to skiing and hiking but in the northern front range where weather is mild and snow melts fast. I live just north of there in Fort Collins from '98-'05.

Actually, Broomfield is now a county of its own, and they just opened a state of the art events center last year. They even have an AHL or is it CHL hockey team now. I was a councilman during the beginning of our growth there, and it was an exciting time, if you like population expansion.

Got to be on the team that met with and negotiated cable contracts, and then later, parks and recreation development. Those were exciting times for a young politician, but now I'm sooooo very happy to be in the mountains, away from it all. Whoever ends up with the job, Broomfield is a great place to live, great for families too. When the person is hired, I'll be happy to show him / her around and introduce them to some strategic local business people.

Good luck,

Alan

My wife and I always wanted to move to Denvor. It just never worked out to leave Boston.

I chuckled when I read this. We lived in CO until 84, and then moved just inland from Plymouth MA for a business venture I was expanding. Thought we'd be back home to CO in two or three years, but we didn't have everything in place for our return until 95. It always amazed me in the 11 years we lived in MA... everyone we met was from there, and almost always, have been there for many generations. Such a contrast to the western half of the country, where everyone here is from somewhere else.

So many people we knew talked about how much they'd like to move to another part of the country, and mused over how great it would be to live somewhere that was not congested or overtaxed, but none of them ever made the move. Guess its hard to break generations of tradition for folks there. Happily, I was what they refer to in MA as a Swamp Yankee. (no Mayflower ancestors, and no wealth handed down) LOL. The Blue Bloods and Conecticut Yankees had all the dough!! LOL
