Tell me what you want in a Home Living Style widget, ie sizes, products, ????
I hope to be able to sit long enough to make widgets and send a newsletter over the next couple of days :)

Eh, me again -- lobbying/crusading for those blogging-sized 185-200px widgets.
It goes without saying, of course, that the height really isn't an issue, as they sit in a blog sidebar which expands in height/depth as needed.
Thanks a bunch.

Will make some that size just for you Gary :) Which products are you most interested in?

I would like some in that size as well, with some of everything to show; especially lighting, mirrors, clocks and accent tables. The HSL site colors work well for me, but if you have something with light seafoam colors I have a spot for them too. I feel exceptionally lucky to have the two best running this show. I didn't know who was running it when I joined, but this is like getting to pick your parents

I've made some progress with my widget wrangling abilities. NOT boast-able quality yet.
Log-in to your HomeLivingStyle.com Affiliate Account (https://www.shareasale.com/shareasale.cfm?merchantID=11284)and Take a look at the widgets made so far.
I was thinking it might help to attempt emulating the categories as they are broken down on the merchant site and tab the subcategories. Again, if you want a widget of a specific set of products please let us know (affiliates@homelivingstyle.com ). Some products on the site may not be in the datafeed yet, although most of them are. Sometime's it's a bit of a challenge finding a keyword to hit on the exact item I am looking for.
Try my widgets and tell me what you want them changed to. Did I miss some cool trick or something ? These things are amazingly flexible and all it takes is a little tweaking. That "free HTML" ability looks interesting.
Widget Names:
Babies and Kids Rooms
HLS_185X200
Vanity and Table 245Wide
Home Decor 425x200
Patio 425Wide
I left some with borders. should I take those off completely?
Act now! my current obsession with widget creation can only last so long!!!
(not really I'll make one for an affiliate anytime:-))
Do I need to post these somewhere so you can see them online first to get you to try them?
This sizing thing is a bit puzzling. I'm wonding if I need to keep the wide sized ones as single products and leave the list versions for narrow vertical sizes.
Are my widgets too big? Does the 100% setting work better?
-Hope it helps,

Just picked up some widgets, they look just right and after I get them up and running I'll let you know whick looks better -IMHO- borders or non. These widgets look very nice, I think time will tell which kind the buyers prefer

Sorry this has taken so long but I have been burning some way past midnight oil getting my links cloaked/redirected. I just put up the childrens rooms widget and it looks fine in Firefox but the text is too teeny in IE, might need to tweak the css? One image is missing, maybe a temporary bug- the image is http://www.homelivingstyle.com/photos/FT-578134-1.jpg for the Pulaski Dressing Vanity, Vanity Deck, With Chair. Overall the widget looks just right and I am happy everything is not in only one price range.

How's it look now? The font settings were a little tricky for me to get familiar with. I had content set much lower than the tabs. Just bumped it up to match now.
Deleted Pulaski and did not add replacement.
Deleted Sunflower table (white on white) in childrens tab.
Moved lamps.

EEKS!!! I hit the one bad button possible (twice) when finishing and saving. Had to rebuild 2 tabs.
I so apologize. I hade to grab new merchandise and couldn't quite remember what was there. If you loved the look of the lamps on the first tab let me know. Is it still OK with the childrens table and chairs.
I'll pay better attention on the next tweek.

Font settings are perfect now, look the same in either browser. The first tab you had up was for "Childrens' Rooms" It featured a 'Baby's Room' plaque, a cradle crib (by Green Frog I think) and a table set. The tables and chairs work fine on the front too. Thanks, and keep 'em coming.
