Hi all,
MyCustomLogo offers high quality custom logo design services to small businesses and websites at prices ranging from $79-$500, with the average sale being around $250. We are a real company based in the US, with live staff available 8 hours a day via an 800 number for any pre sales questions or issues with existing orders.
We have just launched our new affiliate program with ShareASale, and are offering a 20% comission on all sales, with a 365 day cookie life span. We are looking for affiliates that are serious about promoting our services, and are willing to work one on one with anyone willing to grow with our company.
I want to make sure that our affiliate program is as appealing as possible to any possible affiliates, and welcome any and all advice/critcism/concerns. I have never set up an affiliate program before and want to make sure that I am doing everything fairly/correctly.
A few points about our affiliate program (things I noticed people get concerned about from reading some posts in the formus):
1. No leaks, all sales end up on the ShareASale tracking page, and affiliates get full comission for all sales.
2. The 800 number is for pre sales questions and issues with existing orders, all orders take place on our website so that affiliates get full comissions.
Please let me know if you have any questions. If you wish to reach me by phone you can call me at 1.800.303.0911 ext 417 if I don't answer for some reason leave a message with the call reason and a callback number and I'll call you back asap.
Again, ANY advice is REALLY appreciated.
George

We now have 27 affiliates with several doing an average of 2 sales a day. Looking for more! Our services convert REALLY well because of our 'lower than industry standard' prices. Please feel free to post any questions or suggestions here!

Hi,
We have just added 20 new banners of all different sizes for advertising our $99 logo design package. Below are a few examples:

My niche is personalized gifts - one at a time, except groomsmen gift, a dozen at a time
A day doesn't go by that I don't get emails like
"Instead of a monogram, can we have our hotel logo on the ashtray"
or
"We want our company name on the glasses, but it has to be such and such font. If we send you a picture, can you duplicate the font"
or my favorite...
Instead of the first name, my precosious 4-year old just did a crayon drawing of his dad that was turned down by the Museum of Modern Art... if we send you little Johnny's drawing, can you put it on the cigarette lighter?"
My usual response is a polite "I see Monogram, Initials or Name and Wedding date on the order form... where exactly do you see the send Johnnie's napkin scrawl in the list of options - LOLOL
You look very affiliate friendly - and you may fill a need :)
I don't mind loosing a sale for one item, but I don't like loosing a sale for 144 ashtrays :)

I think I misread. You don't have any PRODUCTS - just design logos.
Bummer.
But when people want something other then the monogram we have, I can still refer them to you

Hi Billy,
Thanks for the response! Yes, we only design logos, but the upside to it is that the kind of design we do is "vector" logo design, which is more suited to monagramming and print then bitmap, which is what most images are presented in.
Are you able to personalize products other ways then with just intials or names, if they are presented in the correct image formats? We currently present the customer with their completed logo in eps, pdf and ai formats, as well as in standard bitmap formats, but could probably present it in other formats if you were able to use them.
Let us know, as we are willing to work something out with you, I know that nothing stings so bad as losing a sale LOL.
Thanks,
George
P.S. One of the packages that we sell is the "$79 Package", which is pretty much for taking "little johnnys napkin scrawl" and rendering it in a print ready, vector based file. FYI.

LOL George
The products I have that can use logos are my crystal products. Most are people with actual logos. My ashtray example above was actually a small dish/bowl, and I actually made the sale, for several hundred. Some Indian casino in Arizona or New Mexico wanted one in each guest room.
And my rude example of "Where on the order form does it say you can have an option that isn't listed"... actually just this week some asked "I want your monogrammed cufflinks, but rather then a "D" on both, we just had twins so I want whatever the first initial of each twin is. A different one on each cufflink. Instead of responding with "Is there an option for seperate twinns initials on our order forms????", I said "It can be done, but there's a $25 setup fee on the 2nd cufflink". I really thought she'd say Oh - Nevermind. But she paid another $25!!
Anyway, where YOU come in...
One of our biggest sellers in Crystal Invitation frames. Our order form states we don't do the actual invitation, we use this nice script wedding font. Yet they all ask "We want the actual invitation - as is - we'll pay extra.
I think you'll come in handy for that.
My contact info is in my profile if you want to talk :)

Ahhemm, no offense guys, but this thread wasn't exactly free, and I'd like to try and keep it on topic.
Billy Kay, keep us in mind for any customers needing vectorizing of any images (including scanned in letters), as that is a aspect of some of the services we provide.
Thanks,
George

heygeek....
Talk to me about your vectorizing services... I often get people who will bring me their logo on a napkin and want me to make a name tag or a banner out of it...so we have to recreate it...
Could I farm that out to you guys?
If so do you have a flat fee for this type of stuff?

Hi,
Yes, we do vectorize logos on occasion, the customer usually needs to have a semi-clear image of the logo, and it's a lot more difficult to do when the logo has alot of gradients or detail to it (as I'm sure you know), but we can usually work with whatever. We don't have a specific package for vectorizing, most customers purchase the $79 "If you can be exact" package and specifiy that they have an existing logo that needs to vectorized. That package has a turnaround time of 5 business days to view the concept, and 2 business days to prepare the final files upon approval. All logos are delivered in eps, ai, jpeg and gif.
Let me know if you want me to set up an affiliate link directly to the $79 package.
