Me and my son Dylan (on the far right) met with KISS at Rock-Fest a week or so ago. Their photographers took them so had to wait for the picture. They had us in groups of 6, no idea who the other 4 people were.

They were huge, TALL in their platform boots, almost like giants! Very cool to meet them, they were very nice.

Glad you explained that. I thought you were all REALLY short. Great picture.

I was a member of the Kiss Army at one time, way back when they first came out. Those guys have to be in their late 50s or early 60s these days.
I thought I heard somewhere that they quit wearing the makeup somewhere along the way.
Are those the original members? Paul, Peter, Ace and Gene?

I remember getting introduced by a buddy of mine to Kiss via the Love Gun album when I was 8 years old. My initiation to "rock & roll". :super:

Gene Simmons has a reality show on A&E every sunday night, it's great! And he shows behind the scenes at concerts etc. in addition to his home life.

I wanted to come to Rockfest just to meet him, lol.

Simmons and Stanley... they're the only ones that mattered anyway.. right? They are KISS. Thayer replaced Ace Frehley the second time he left, maybe 5 years ago, and Singer has been in the group since about that same time, I think.

Gene Simmons' Family Jewels on A&E is a pretty good show, but it has little to do with KISS or music - its centered on Gene's fanaticism with business and his family life with long-time companion Shannon Tweed and their children.

I think Connie has more FUN than anyone else around here!

Cool picture, Connie! Your son must think you're the coolest Mom in town.

I was upset that Gene didn't bring his son Nick! His kids are so funny on that show.

Here are some more Rock-Fest pics, some with Gene and Paul backstage before the show:

Nice shot and the show IS funny or fun not sure which one yet....there is something kinda funny about a 50 some year old guy in leather pants, platform shoes and a demon nut cup...but that might just be me

That is too cool! Isn't it nice that our kids can appreciate different generations of music?

My 13 year old loves Iron Maiden and Judas Priest while my 14 year old will sing Beatle tunes with me :cheerful:

Music is just so much an integral part of our lives, we take it for granted.

I don't take it for granted, I can't live without it and appreciate the talent and work it takes to make music.
