Just a quick FYI, the datafeed is updated and running, those of you who have asked have received FTP access, we have added in a miniture logo for coupon and comparison sites, and there are still a ton of high converting PPC terms without anyone bidding on them waiting for you.

4 % is about tops for electronics. Amazon only pays out 1% and most others pay 2 to 4%. It's the vertical - not much profit in electronics, although the average ticket price is high, which can make up for the low % if you have volume sales.

Rexanne got it pretty much right on the dot. The other factor on why electronics programs don't always have higher payouts than other industries isn't just that they have high ticket prices, but profit margins from markups are usually not very high either so that you can remain competitive in the market and still make a profit. Once you add in the affiliates commission + the networks share + (the AM or OPMs fees and share of the sale) the merchant is really not making much afterwords so that is another factor that plays into the commission structure.

One thing you will find with Electronics Nation though is that the average commissions are pretty high as mentioned in a previous post above, and the products because of their low prices move themselves. Especially with the free shipping, warranties on products, etc...

We also run monthly specials to add to your commissions and increase your payouts, we try to get you everything you need to help you promote us and do our best to accomodate every and any issue you may have. I am also happy to try and workout other things to make the program more appealing for you like when we changed the cookie from 45 days to 60 days.

There are other factors which lead to why electronic's programs don't have high commission rates, but these are most of the major ones.
