When I search in SAS I find 2 companies called Buzzy Multimedia. I can see which one you are managing Liz but the other one seems to comprise the t-shirts from your one ... if you follow what I mean. Are they seperate companies or departments of the same company? The commission rates are very different too ... but then t-shirts are usually at a higher rate than books.

Sue - thanks for your interest and for looking into our program. You're right - there are two online stores owned by Buzzy Multimedia Publishing Corp. and registered with SAS - one focuses on the audio-books (the one I am managing now) and one focuses on solely the novelty tees - it's called "TeesWithaTwist.com."

The BuzzyMultimedia.com domain sells the same collection of tees as found at TeesWithaTwist.com as an added value for the same genre. The tees have always sold well from BuzzyMultimedia.com and 90% of Buzzy Multimedia Publishing Corp's revenue comes from that site and not from the tshirt site anyhow. So, they'll be phasing out the TeesWithaTwist.com affiliate program soon, to focus 100% on BuzzyMultimedia.com's web store.

While we appreciate interest on both sides, those interested in promoting the t-shirts, please join the BuzzyMultimedia.com program and not the TeesWithaTwist.com program.

Yes you're right - we are happy to offer a data feed for all BuzzyMultimedia.com's wares (including the tshirts) on Popshops and there are widgets and feeds available thru SAS as well.

Let me know once you've had a chance to check the feeds out how they could be better optimized. I am planning to optimize the descriptions but outside of that, let me know if there is anything specific that could make them more efficient or easier to use or more marketable for you and I'll take that back and work on making it happen.

One thing you'll find w/ the Buzzy program is that they are incredibly receptive to constructive feedback and open to improving to meet your needs. I'm really glad to be working w/ them and I can't say that enough. I know you will be too!

It's been brought to my attention that our data feeds are still showing a 5% commission calculation per product at the moment - they need to be updated.

So as to prevent any confusion, in the meantime, please note that the default commission for ALL affiliates was bumped to 7% a few weeks ago - irrespective of what the product feed tells you, the system is set to calculate your commission at 7% on every sale so you'll earn 7% even if sales go thru the feeds. The info in the product feed is for informational purposes only and will be updated shortly to reflect the new 7% commission.

And more good news - we're looking into how to implement commission tiers by product so we can offer up to 15% commission rather than a flat 7% commission across the board. Buzzy programmers/developers are working on this logic as I type this, and so hopefully we will be able to implement that soon. :) Stay tuned!

Now capitalize on the return of the popular Dresden Files TV series to the SciFi channel! The Dresden Files first aired on TV's SciFi Channel earlier this year and devoted fans will be thrilled to know episodes are now airing in re-runs this season.

Happy Saturday - I hope everyone's US Thanksgiving and Black Friday was as fabulous as can be!

Just wanted to update all Buzzy-joined affiliates (and others) to let you know that I've just finished adding a bunch of new text links to the mix for each of the audiobooks plus the newly added NEW ARRIVALS section (which currently hosts 5 new, really cool goth/horror & funny/twisted novelty t-shirt styles) on site.

You'll note that each of the audiobooks product detail pages enables curious shoppers to download the first couple of chapters FREE in mp3 format (perfect for uploading to mobile devices including iPods for portable entertainment during travel, exercise, etc.) - and this feature helps sell the product as listeners come back wanting to know how the story continues and ends.

In the TEXT links section of our program pages on SAS you'll find "Get the first 3 Chapters Free!" links, as well as regular links encouraging shoppers to "get their copy today." Each of these links includes a brief synopsis (hook) to help promote the audiobook in your audience. You may modify these text links if you wish to leave out the synopsis portion of the text link but please try to use them somewhere in your promotions as most folks won't buy a story without knowing what it is about.

ALSO - A NEW COUPON has been added to the mix to make selling "New Arrivals" easier. While we currently have three 20% off coupons available pointing to the product detail page of ONE product each, we've now added a "NEW ARRIVALS" section as mentioned above to showcase all new product in one place - this also allows us to use just ONE coupon code link to direct all traffic to all New Arrivals with ONE promotion.

The new code is 'new5' and applies to all merchandise within the New Arrivals section - valid through Jan 31/08 (may be extended at that time - mark your calendars and stay tuned). Coupon code links are also available from within our program pages on SAS.

While the core biz for Buzzy has predominantly been centred around sci-fi/fantasy type audiobooks, the selection has expanded to include some paranormal type stuff (i.e. Interlopers, a novel written by award-winning author, Alan Dean Foster and read aloud on audiobook by Ben Browder, best known for his portrayal of Commander John Chrichton on Farscape) as well as a wide variety of novelty goth/horror/sci-fi/fantasy and other types of "geek gear" t-shirts which sell VERY easily. New print novels, audiobooks and other items will be added over time.

Examples of "horror" style t-shirts at Buzzy include:

-Power corrupts; Absolute Power is kinda neat.
-I am not a minion of evil I am upper management
-I'm not staring at you, I'm studying my prey
-Good/Evil illusion shirt (depending how you look at it, it says good, or evil)

As earlier mentioned too, we're looking at how to implement multi-tier commissions by product in order to actually raise commissions on products where there is more margin to allow for increase - t-shirts is a definite one as soon as we figure out the coding on that (insight from members here welcome - please PM me if you can help me figure that one out). Buzzy programmers will be working on that in January as well so stay tuned. In the meantime (and thereafter) we've got a great bonus program in place so take advantage!

While affiliates are ALREADY automatically receiving up to 15% on all product sales, you'll note both the commission rates indicated in the feed and feed descriptions will be updated within just a few days (at the very start of January).

More great news - phone tracking should be implemented w/ the new site launch which, as mentioned, is slated to go live in just a few weeks.
