My client is a fast moving locomotive and they need people that will step in and keep up. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who can make the grade. For a stellar person, comes stellar results (VERY HIGH PAYOUTS). This is a position for a person with experience (not too much... a max of 2 years will work) and knowledge (you need to know the difference btw a CPA, CPC, and CPM, and the diff btw an affiliate and a merchant) in the internet marketing industry.

The role is affiliate manager.
The company is a full service interactive/online marketing solutions company for advertisers and publishers backed by a $1.3 billion private equity firm and are located on Broad street . The CEO started About.com and sold it before starting this company. They are an umbrella organization with 7 separate entities, each of which used to be on their own, collaborating on making larger an already huge footprint in the online arena.

The pay is btw $35k and $50k depending on your experience.

Please send your resume to this email (M.Demby@aclion.com) to be a potential.

Other ongoing opportunities in NYC
1. Display Ad Sales - up to $80
2. Email Sales - up to $50
3. Lead Gen sales - up to $60
4. Director Online Ad Sales - up to $125
5. Director of B2B Marketing - up to $140
6. Media Buyer - up to $75

You're also in Michigan, so you still don't qualify.

It's more of a junior role. The right person should appreciate the tone.
Max 2 years in as an affiliate manager, this guy would be a top sales person just looking to "wham-bam thank you ma'am" offers to affiliates!!!

Are you as an employer/potential employer discriminating against female applicants in terms of this employment opportunity?

not at all... I say "guy" as a generic term. Sometimes I call women "dude" when I really mean "excuse me miss..."

Dang Haiko, just as I was about to throw my hat into the ring!! I meet one of the criteria. (CPA = Certified Public Accountant). Ma daddy would be so proud!

As opposed to Certified Public Cow-tipper and Certified Public Loud-Speaker

The description of "Slam/Wham-Bam-Thank you Ma'am" is a gender specific type of accomplishment. The word "stud" as in "New York City Affiliate studs needed" combined with "wham-bam-thank you-ma'am" is very sexist.

Only a male would:
...this guy would be a top sales person just looking to "wham-bam thank you ma'am" offers to affiliates!!!

That job description has a tinge of sexism in it.

You would be better off by writing "We are looking for someone to make it happen" in your job description (my example could apply to either gender).

A qualified female who knows about CPA, CPC, and CPM could apply for the job and take you and your company to court over that sexist job description.

I see your point  , would edit it if I knew how :confused2, yet never meant it to be taken like that :worried: and hope you only see it as a means of expressing :artist: the idea of the "cold-call," hunter, sales mentality of an affiliate manager at an affiliate network.

And I bet you're every bit as successful on behalf of your clients as you obviously must be with women.

I once worked at a time sharing resort, I've also worked on the NYFE, the NYMEX, the NYSE, and on AMEX.
I understand the idea of "cold-calling," being a "hunter" for sales/leads, and sales.
Writing job prospects/descriptions with sexist language is not a good idea.
Your title of your job offer in combination with the sexist text of the descriptions is highly offensive.

R7 (as I coined it over a year ago) I'd say it's safe to assume that you will not be applying for the position he offers? LOL

Wrong time of the year for an April Fools joke......

Keeps coming back, so maybe not a spammer.....

Actually believes he may get a serious inquiry....

I'm stumped.

My best guesses are:

1. Haiko got bored and wanted to give us something to laugh at, and created this ID to do it with.

2. Someone else is trying to pull our legs....

3. This is a real person who actually believes it.

(Be really sad if it was #3)

If it is #3, at least we'll know in a few weeks when the client gets hit with all the lawsuits his "Talent Agent" is about to bring him.

You are right, I am grateful that you brought it up, thank you Haiko for editing it, and hope we all can get along. It was a stupid and unintentional mistake.
