Newgg Sales Not Tracking

I've had 4 verified sales through Newegg since late October, yet no commission for these test sales have ever been credited to our account in CJ. I notified Newegg about this and the response I got was "do you have the invoice number?" Of course I do, and I sent them one. I immediately received a reply that the transaction was processed. I then emailed back to ask about the other sales, and again the Newegg representative asked me for the invoices for these orders. I replied still withholding the other known sales invoices, inquiring about sales that possibly came through that I didn't have a record of.

This is the EXACT reply from the Newegg representative:

I am not sure how to trace the missing orders for you unless you can provide me with an order #.
Have you tried to contact a CJ technical person?

I find it interesting that Newegg says that they rely on CJ for tracking, but then they turn around and ask the publisher for tracking information, which of course you won't have for any orders placed by someone other than yourself.

So we must assume that Newegg tracking is broken as the rep herself states she has no way of tracking orders for publishers UNLESS THEY HAVE THE INVOICE OR ORDER NUMBER THEMSELVES!

Looks like it's time to drop Newegg from my publisher account.

Too bad for them, as we just moved up to a 5 bar publisher...

I sincerely wish I could say the same, but sadly that's not the case.

I had one recorded sale through newegg. That's about it. I can't make a judgment.

I placed a personal order last week and it tracked just fine.

I'd like to follow up on my original post.

It seems I owe Newegg an apology. After further research I can honestly say I unfairly put the blame for these lost transactions on NewEgg & CJ. After doing some research on my own as to why these sales weren't tracking, I found that a program called Spybot immunizes your browser from being able to accept cookies from some CJ URL's, i.e.;jdoqocy*com, kqzyfj*com, etc. I shudder when I think of the sheer volume of sales that were/are never rightfully credited or commissioned due to this seemingly helpful & "harmless" Windows software like Spybot.

I guess now my only beef with Newegg is over them ignoring the email I sent months back with a list missing commissions for known transactions. I can live with that though, as every Newegg test sale we've made in the last 6 months has tracked without fail. Can't say the same for some other big merchants in CJ (Verizon/AT&T tracking for example).

Anyone else noticed or experienced this first hand? I tried emailing the people behind spybot, but they insist CJ is spyware, and were uninterested in an affiliate marketers perspective. See:http://www.safer-networking.org/en/threats/68.html.

i've had spybot on my computers for years and I know at least one newegg self purchase tracked.

But from researching this a bit, it looks like using the 'immunize' feature is what kills the cookies, like you stated. Which I'd never used before.

i dont know many 'techie' people, but most of the ones I do know use spybot S&D. :stare:
