The owner of Habitat Shoes has decided to shut down their affiliate program for reasons I disagree with, but for a common complaint that many merchants have about affiliate programs.



"when you Google habitatshoes.com, there are about 10 pages of habitatshoes.com coupon codes, deals, etc. that just cheapen our site."






Habitat Shoe's also chose to not wait to close their program until the end of the month, but rather shut it off last night. So all affiliates who are running ads for them need to be aware that the links no longer work.




I received this email last night at 9:24pm - this is and was the first I had heard that he was considering shutting down his program.
