The datafeed is broken down into categories by league, sub-cats by team and I just refreshed the feed in SAS to include our store categories (Home Decor, Memorabilia etc.) located in the Merchant Group column. Hopefully this will make it as easier for you BUT if you have ANY trouble just post here or email me at lisa [at] championsondisplay.com and I will work to fix it and refresh asap.

There are problems with most of your descriptions on your feed. Things run together.

Example:

It makes it really hard for us to use.

I use Find & Replace to make it "! " since most of the run ons are at !
Agreed it would be better not to have to do that though.

Just a qiuck update on the feed descriptions.


The information for the feed is actually being pulled from our Channel Advisor platform which converts inventory information, including descriptions, into acceptable formats for each of our various shopping channels, eBay Amazon etc. I am thinking the "USA" reference was probably meant for an eBay field.

You should be okay using find and replace since there are no other ! in the remaining columns or the img url, but to be totally safe you can just copy to a new temporary sheet.

Also, I use ASAP Utilities, which has proven to be invaluable when working in Excel. You may already have it installed but if not it's free to download and easy to use by column or by row. I was able to "Delete leading, trailing and excessive spaces" and this took care of the spacing issue fairly quickly. It also gives you the option to decode html in case you would prefer a standard text description. You might even find this to be a handy tool outside this particular issue.

I know this takes a couple of extra minutes but hopefully this will help you out - In the meantime I am still working on what I can do to edit the main feed and save you this extra time in the future.

I want to make this feed as easy to use and well organized as possible so thanks for bearing with me!
