New to forum
Hi everyone!
Carolyn Tang from shareasale suggested I join the GREATEST affiliate forum there is, so I did. I love to travel. Live outside DC with beautiful wife and kids. Have had a B&M business for some 25 years but finally took the internet plunge this year with our new venture, so have a lot to learn. My partner Sean, however, is an experienced talented internet "geek". Perhaps you met him at the NY Affiliate summit last month? Hopefully, I'll get to meet you all in Vegas this January.

Hi Anne,
Thanks for the welcome.
For years my neighbor, who sells of all things, cuff links , on the internet, has made fun of me as he stays at home raking in the $'s while I trudge to my stores in DC. So I finally made the plunge when a great opportunity arose.
Both Carolyn and my partner told me this is THE place to forge affiliate partnerships, so I am here. Just posted our program announcement, so I hope we get some real "go getters".

Phil, Welcome to ABW. I'm sure you'll find many great relationships here. Looks like you've got a great niche product. Be sure to get a datafeed put together and get it onto popshops. Ask around for help with this if you need it.

Welcome to ABestWeb, Carolyn never steers anyone wrong. I met a lot of people at Affiliate Summit East, not sure if your partner was one of them
Stick around, read the Merchants Best Practices forum and you will learn lots. I am working with a few Brick and Mortar stores making the switch to online, it is actually great since you already know a lot about what your customers need/want.

Hi knight01,
Thanks for the input, but way ahead of you on these 2 points at least. We have a datafeed at SAS with all products (and I think even with the "buy" button) already set up. Also my partner has done a few custom feeds for people already. I emailed popshops last week to let them know feed was available but to date have not heard back from them. As I understand they are suppose to join program and get approved for datafeed access, but they haven't as of yet. Do you know how long they take?
Yes indeed, this is a GREAT niche. Marto and Zamorano produce the BEST armaments in the world as opposed to the low price goods out of the far east. The officially licensed Conan the Barbarian products are also a plus (new Conan movie is already in production) as opposed to the knock-offs. Marto also has a very extensive Templar knight product line for those collectors and home/office decor designers.
With a tagline of "knight01" can I interest you in some accessories?
Regards,
Phil

Thanks for the welcome Matt. I haven't met Carolyn personally yet, just by email, but I think my partner did at the summit. That's why we joined the SAS network.

Hi Debbie,
Would be interested in talking with you. Not sure whether we want to go the OPM route though but I did get a list from Carolyn of OPM's (your name was not listed though - u should talk 2 her).

Phil

Hi Phil, welcome to ABW! I like the ABW nickname about Spain. I studied in Valencia and had an amazing experience. I wonder if I met your business partner at Affiliate Summit...

Hi Steph,
Thanks for the welcome. Yes, Spain is BEAUTIFUL. Didn't hit Valencia last time I was there in March (time was consumed by working with our factory partners in Toledo) but I have been there. Don't know if you met Sean at summit. He told me it was very crowded and he only got to network with a few hundred people, maybe you were one. But promise to meet at next summit in Vegas.
Regards,
Phil

Tsk, tsk on Carolyn. lol. She has actually recommended us to a large number of folks recently, so probably figures we're pretty busy. Even if you don't need an OPM we could talk about some short term consulting if that is more what you may need. Or not Call anytime, email me at dc at teamloxly.com for my phone number.

Indeed, I wanted to get you on the right track for a reason. I've got a domain laying around collecting dust that might go affiliate/dropship. But looking for the right supplier(s). I'll give you a call next week, can you ship internationally?

Hi knight01,
Yes we do international shipping. Will most likely though integrate International Checkout ( www.internationalcheckout.com) to the site soon for customers. The custom laws vary greatly from country to country and rather 3rd party out.

Phil
