Nothing special needs to be done... after you upload it should all work... Your host supports PHP right? Also make sure you don't have an index.php and index.html file both in the same directory.
Also, did you edit the config.php file to your own shareasale user id? You would also have to be joined up with the program through Shareasale for your links to work properly.
This must have gotten sucked into the New Posts black hole, I wouldn't have missed this announcement!!! Off to get the template and catch up to BillyKay!!!!

Don't know if 3 minutes is a record, but I have a post somewhere where right after some affiliates taught me how to use webmerge, and I had just finished uploading all 30,000 pages(!!), I was creating a backlink from another one of my sites.
I logged on to see if the click registered, and there was already a sale!!
Anyway, Chet, check your PM (twice) in about 10 minutes.

*****Installing The JDS Dynamic Template*****
To install the JDS dynamic template simply upload all of the files to a directory
on your server.
Example:
http:// www. yourdomain.com/JDS/

Hi Chet,
I was so impressed about the way the dynamic template for JDS looks that I decided to join JDS, but now I am stuck.
I am about to create an JDS directory on my site in order to promote the JDS products but, before I do anything I decided to ask you about this: If I make an JDS directory on my site with all the pages ending on .php like:
First question: Do I have to make a images subdirectory too?..... I ask because on the JDS.zip it's included with 21 images and while I think that it's for testing only, I just want to make sure if the images are going to be called from the JDS or do I have to have the images on my web server?
Second and more important question: Since all my other pages and directories on my site end on .html. Do making a new directory for JDS with only PHP Pages screw up the rest of my site? or do I would be able to link it back and forth with the rest of my site out any problem?
Third question: If I go the product datafeed way, I know that I will have about 107 Products pages on that directory and that I can have those pages ending on .html and just wait for the results but, this is the main question and depending on what you answer on my second question... If I use the JDS dynamic template, how many pages are going to be available on my site for my visitors to see and how many pages are going to be available on my site for the search engines to see and index?
Chet,
While I know that my questions on this post here might sound stupid to some of the (more experienced affiliates on ABW), I know that my questions at the end might help a few new affiliates some how and avoid asking these same questions again later, even the JDS merchant and other merchants might benefit on this post by getting new affiliates to join their programs, depending on the answers that get posted here about what I ask about the (Dynamic Template).
2. Having php and html pages on the server won't bother a thing, they will live and play well together and the se's will enjoy them all.
3. All the dynamic pages that the script creates will get spidered and will be available to the search engines. My site stats program and allinurl: on google backs this up. People come in on every product page for my eVitamins site which uses the same technology.
Hope this helps!!
I can't answer Q1 because I have been lax and haven't installed the script yet... bad me....
To answer the first question, yes be sure to create the image directory. That is where the Credit Card image and some other images, such as the top logo (which you can change of course) are located and will be on your own server. The actual product images will be hosted on the JDS server.
Deborah, thanks for answering to halve of my questions, I really appreciate your fast reply since I was not 100% sure on the answer to my second question.

Chet,
Since neither you or Deborah, answer my third question in full, I will ask you again:

I hope that the bold text helps me to get the full answer on that question.
Thank You.

-17 category pages
-1 sitemap (the page that lists all the products)
-Any other pages that you might add, such as contact information.
125 total viewable and indexable pages from the default template.
All the pages - a whole website(!) - are there when you upload those few php files.
My suggestion: CUSTOMIZE!
Can't tell you how many "clone" sites I found that all look identical.
If you look closely at the php script, it's call ing up a pagemaker from SharaASale - if nothing else, chose a different option for pagemaker (on the index php anyway) and your index page won't look like everyone else's.
I know what you mean about the "clone" sites, I have seeing many out there and that's too bad.
I like to take my time with my templates to make sure that they don't look like anyone else on the net and while they might not win a design award, I know that they are my own design.
So far I had made three separate directories with a database on each and somehow they wind up on the top twenty on the search engines and beating many "clone" sites, I guess I most be doing something right with the datafeeds.
One of my sites is a free merchant listing site (free membership) and 5 of the last 7 applications were from JDS clones.
Another site is a PAID listing site, and two of the last three merchants who either paid for a listing or a banner ad were JDS clones.
And yesterday I searched google for my keyword (million of results and for 5 years running I'm #1) and yep, I'm still #1 in the normal listings, but 3 out of 5 paid PPC listings were JDS clones.
It is to bad many affiliates won't put in an effort at all. A cookie cutter template was not the intentions of this. Customizing goes beyond just editing the site name... but not many go beyond that point.
The ones that do though are making some awesome sites. Those are the ones that are going to benefit from this while the ones that don't put any effort are the ones that will be crying because they are not getting any sales, or their site can't get into the search engines.
