Really cool island with Billions of fish around it.
The beach from the sea.

Playing with a present.
Kids and Nok Fight over the bubble wrap.
Baeng looking sweet
Ooops sorry... this is Baeng, on the speed boat heading back to the mainland.

Wow!
What awesome pics!!! Really making me pine to re-visit Thailand. I have an open offer from a friend down past huahin who has just finished building a 3 story party house on the beach. I think I will have to take him up on his offer sooner rather than later!
Congrats on you son's 2nd birthday

Dirk : Hua Hin is nice, further South you got the better it gets (way better), but Hua Hin is nice beach resort.

Well.... it's like this.
The front gate on our drive way is a pretty solid chunk of Iron, and it has a stopper which prevents it from going too far when being closed... Alex, being the good boy he is, always closes the gate...however 4 weeks ago he got the gate up to a speed that it bounced over the stopper...and fell on him, we're talking adult shoulder high very heavy gate!
I got to hear all this on the mobile while at the office to the background of screaming, crying and shouting... not the best call I've ever got.... roughly all I could make out was "Alex, gate...head...blood...hospital!! " ... made it across Bangkok from one end to the other in under an hour and got to the hospital before the doctor had started treating Alex. Which got me shouting very loudly and caused a doctor to be summoned rather swiftly...
He got lots of cuts and bruises and 10 stitches in his head and hurt his arm... x-rays showed no serious damage to his head, the cut was caused by the gate sliding across his head when he was on the flaw (okay you can take you hands away from your face now)...
....anyway 2 weeks passed and we noticed he wasn't comfortable about something but no one knew what until he fell over at the park 2 weeks ago and landed on his arm...then he started howling and wouldn't let any one touch it, off to a different hospital, x-ray, found he's had a broken forearm for two weeks!!!!!!!!!!! Thoughts of baseball bats and a certain doctor are constantly on my mind.
Anyway once he had the cast put on he was super happy, it hasn't bothered him at all and comes off next week we hope.
But I tell you, that was the most horrifying experience of my life!
Naturally the gate has been changeding to one that can't fall over and is made of aluminium.
Cheers
Chris

quote:
Dirk : Hua Hin is nice, further South you got the better it gets (way better), but Hua Hin is nice beach resort.

I know it well. I spent about 2 1/2 years in Thailand living in Sukhumvit Soi 11 and have travelled quite extensively south tho I havent really ventured north.
Here is a pic of his place he sent me a few days ago. I think it is about 30 miles south of Hua Hin on a beach next to a nature reserve.
If my memory serves me correctly your offices are in Silom? Is Silom soi 4 still a good place for the youngsters to get a drink? (I was much younger then )

Gone to the dogs it has... even the discos there aren't up to what they were.
Liz : Easy solution, ask for pay cut, say down by 25% and then say you'll work from home
Really glad everyone liked the pics, I was over here for alomost 8 years before I managed to go on holiday so now I need to do a lot of catching up, In Jan I'm off to Kanchanaburi and Koh Samed as my Sister and Dad are coming over, that'll be the first time ever that all the Grandkids and have been in the same country
But I also need to squeeze in a trip back to Umphang to do some rafting...and I GOTTA go back to Krabi to do a week of diving... so much to do...I need more staff so I can skip off more often
Cheers
Chris
